How much is shipping via UPS and RPS?Costs are determined on destination from Southern California.
Air shipments
Air charges are determined by dimensional weight. Sometimes items that weigh 10 to 15 lbs. may be charged as 80 or 90 lbs. because of large sizes. All items not packed in cartons receive an additional $5.00 per package charge (i.e., Bamboo poles, Mattings)
Truck shipments
Trucks do not have additional handling charges, but, do charge for a minimum of 175 lbs. If you need shipping charges please contact us and allow 2-3 days for a reply.
Why are my fish nets full of holes?
This net is used until the fisherman can no longer use them. After it becomes full of holes and are of no use to the fisherman we buy and sell it to you. All colors are natural and will vary in color.
501 Thatching Coverage
Our 501 Thatching coverage is figured at 9 sq. ft. for overlap. All thatching products will last several years outdoors.
Fireproofing
See bottom of page 23 of the price list. Also see the Policies page of the website. Interior fireproofing means the chemical wash off of used outside. Exterior fireproofing will not wash off. This is for outside use. If these items are not in stock please allow 2 weeks to process.
Bamboo Questions
Why is my bamboo cracked? As bamboo dries it cracks. If you receive bamboo that is not cracked it probably will crack later (not always, but, usually). If you receive bamboo that is cracked you can put the crack where it does not show. It usually cracks in one long line. Cracks do not weaken the bamboo. You cannot paint or stain bamboo. Bamboo can be fireproofed but usually is not required.
How many shells come in a bag?
Counts can vary from as few as 10 to as many as 200+. Look at the pictures in the catalog for sizes.
Large shells - For example #6354 has 30 shells, #6355 has 50-75 shells and #6356 has 25-25 shells in a bag.
Small shells- for example #6360 has 200+ shells, #6349,6366 & 6347 have approx. 24 shells and #6348 has 18 to 21 shells per bag.
Kahoona and King OH-NO
These pieces are made of thick plastic and are hollow in the back. @ of these will nest into one 30 lb. carton. Shipping of one carton to the L.A. area $7.20, Colorado area $14.50, East coast $21.00 and Air to the East Coast 2 day $155.00.
Huts #900, 900f and 900fx
Hut includes 4 bamboo uprights, and top assembly with thatching only. All other items seen around the hut are sold separately. Shipping to the L.A. are $25.00, Colorado area $37.00, East Coast $70.00 and East Coast 2-day air is $195.00.
Shortages on Delivery
All packages or tags will have the total packages shipped ( 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3). If you do not receive all packages they may be on another truck for later delivery or may come the next day. If, when you made the order, you gave us a fax number or an e-mail address you should have received (if shipped UPS) a list of tracking numbers. You can track packages on the internet at www.ups.com. Many of our mattings are made by hand from natural materials, and will vary in shade and coloring.
